The Venetian Isle North development consists of 68,930 SF of commercial and medical land uses.

US 92 Corridor Analysis

Model and evaluate the proposed roundabouts along US 92 in the City of Daytona Beach, Florida using VISSIM, a microscopic traffic simulation software.

Modified Downtown Network
City of Orlando, FL
An alternative capacity analysis was performed for a modified roadway configuration for the year 2035 that includes converting the one-way roadway segments of Orange Avenue and Magnolia Avenue north of SR 50 to three-lane two-way roads, and converting the two-way segment of Garland Avenue north of SR 50 to a one-way roadway. Additionally, this alternative includes interchange modifications at the I-4 exits at Ivanhoe Boulevard and at SR 50 (Colonial Drive) based on the I-4 ultimate project including the express lanes.

Publix Lake Fredrica Driveway Connection. FDOT District 5
Driveway connection analysis supporting the proposed northbound directional left turn lane into the Publix main entrance at Lake Fredrica Shopping Center and the conversion of the right-out driveway to a right-in right-out along Semoran Boulevard (SR 436).

Operational analysis for a senior housing facility located east of Hancock Road and south of Hartwood Marsh Road. The 5.64-acre site consisted of 132 beds of 3-story Assisted Living Facility and a Memory Care Unit.

Traffic analysis supporting the existing and proposed conditions for the median modifications along SR 536 (World Center Drive) at Continental Gateway Drive, evaluating the existing traffic operations, proposed modifications, safety implications as well as the access management conditions along SR 536.

Sawgrass Preserve Mobile Homes

The analysis evaluated the potential conversion of the existing full median opening to a bi-directional median opening and assessed the associated operational impacts of the westbound U-turn movements
generated by the project traffic exiting the driveway and destined eastbound on US 92 through the North Kepler Road intersection.
ROADWAY DESIGN PROJECTS

Roberson Rd and Windermere Rd, Orange County, FL
TEM Group developed the roundabout design for the intersection of Roberson Road and Windermere Road in Orange County, Florida. The design was guided by detailed traffic forecasting that evaluated anticipated growth, future travel demand, turning movements, and intersection operating conditions. These analyses informed the roundabout’s geometric configuration, lane requirements, and approach design to accommodate projected traffic while improving safety, reducing delay, and supporting efficient long-term operations.

I-4 and SR 408 Interchange, Orange County, FL
TEM Group contributed to the horizon-year design of the I-4 and SR 408 interchange in Central Florida, one of the region’s most complex and heavily traveled transportation facilities. The work included developing and evaluating horizontal and vertical alignments to accommodate forecasted travel demand, improve interchange connectivity, and support safe and efficient traffic operations. The design process integrated future traffic conditions with roadway geometry, ramp configurations, and elevation requirements to develop a coordinated long-term interchange solution.

CR 46A and Country Club Rd, Seminole County, FL
TEM Group provided roadway, intersection, traffic-signal, and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) design services for the intersection of County Road 46A and Country Club Road in Seminole County, Florida. The project integrated geometric and operational improvements with a complete signal design tailored to existing and projected traffic demands. ITS components were incorporated to enhance traffic monitoring, system communication, and operational responsiveness

ITS Strategies, Central Florida Highway

I-4 Express Lanes Dynamic Tolling,
Central Florida
TEM Group contributed to the design and evaluation of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) strategies for Central Florida’s highway network, including facilities operated by the former Orlando–Orange County Expressway Authority. The project investigated congestion-pricing strategies intended to relieve peak-period demand along the I-4 corridor by encouraging travelers to use parallel expressways. The evaluated strategy included reducing tolls on SR 417 and SR 528 while increasing tolls on SR 408 during the evening peak travel period. The analysis examined potential changes in route choice, traffic operations, and congestion, while also estimating revenues generated through the electronic toll-collection system.
TEM Group’s managed-lane expertise includes evaluating dynamic tolling strategies for the I-4 Express lanes. Dynamic tolling adjusts the price of using the managed lanes in response to real-time traffic conditions, helping regulate demand and maintain more reliable operating speeds. During peak travel periods—when congestion and delays in the general-purpose lanes are greatest—the managed lanes provide motorists with the option of a faster and more predictable trip. By reducing stop-and-go conditions and improving travel-time reliability, dynamic tolling can generate meaningful time savings for commuters, service providers, and other travelers who place a high value on reaching their destinations on schedule.

The Villages DRI,
Sumter County, FL
The Villages is a master-planned age-restricted retirement community located mainly in Sumter County, Florida, but also includes portions of Lake and Marion counties with a population of 51,442 and area of 5.56 square miles.
An innovative approach using Cube Modeling software to calculate the projected traffic on the US roadway system in the study area was conducted. The proposed methodology implies dividing the villages’ region into 7 pods (A through G) where each pod was comprised of several traffic analysis zones (TAZs). The overall internal capture for the Villages DRI was estimated for the opening year and the build-out conditions. The internal capture variation in each pod as well as the model distribution and assignment derived the forecasted traffic on the State highway system.
